Japan halts Canadian poultry imports in bird flu scare

22/11/2005 - 08:12:55
Japan’s Agriculture Ministry has ordered a temporary halt to Canadian poultry imports after bird flu was found at a duck farm in British Columbia.

The United States and Hong Kong have also issued bans. Canadian officials are expected to follow up with more details later this week.
