Ahern: PSNI now far more co-operative
22/11/2005 - 15:44:47The Taoiseach, Bertie Ahern, said today that the PSNI is far more co-operative with the Republic now than at any time in the past.
Sinn Féin had queried reports that the force had confirmed the identities of 50 republicans whose details were found in the hands of loyalists.
Mr Ahern told the Dáil that the PSNI had uncovered names and details relating to both sides and praised the work they were doing. “From all that is happening now, the PSNI are far more open," he said.
"They're more far more helpful, far more constructive, far more engaging."
