Godzilla is nothing like the originals

It remains a mystery why this l998 film featuring the famous screen monster should be re-released since it wasn’t exactly a runaway success first time around.

Godzilla is, of course, one of the screen’s greatest rampagers; from Japan; but somehow this half-baked yarn of his destruction of Manhattan doesn’t quite match the power of the original black-and-white chillers.
