Greens propose €150 allowance to meet childcare costs
16/11/2005 - 13:48:33The Green Party has proposed that all parents be given a monthly allowance of €150 per child to help meet the cost of childcare.
The proposal is contained in the party's childcare policy, which was launched today.
The Greens said the allowance should be available to working parents via a tax credit and to stay-at-home parents via a simple cash payment.
