Dentists seek lifting of ban on public dentist appointments
16/11/2005 - 10:45:33The Irish Dental Association has called on the Government to lift a two-year-old ban on the appointment of more public dentists.
The association, which is holding its annual conference tomorrow, said the cap should be lifted as dentists were struggling to cope with Ireland's increasing population.
It said the ratio of dentists to patients in Ireland is well below EU recommendations.
