British couple scoop €2m Irish Lotto jackpot

A British couple have had the holiday of a lifetime in Ireland after winning nearly €2 million in the Lotto.

The couple, who chose to remain anonymous, could barely speak to each after scooping the €1.8 million jackpot on October 26th.

They said it would mean early retirement and financial freedom for their children.

The ticket was bought in a Supervalu supermarket in Ballybofey, Co. Donegal.
