Price set for debut
Ipswich youngster Lewis Price is expected to make his full debut for Wales in their friendly against Cyprus in Limassol, the 12th new cap of manager John Toshack’s year-long reign.
The 21-year-old goalkeeper has twice before been on the brink of stepping up from the U21s, but each time injury has robbed him at the last moment.
Wales will wait for a fitness test on midfielder Carl Robinson’s damaged ankle, an injury he picked up in training on Monday.
Toshack’s side face a difficult task at the Tsirion Stadium without skipper Ryan Giggs, Simon Davies, Jason Koumas, Joe Ledley, David Partridge and James Collins from the original squad.
Provisional squad: Price (Ipswich), Delaney (Aston Villa), Gabbidon (West Ham), Page (Coventry), Ricketts (Swansea), Vaughan (Crewe), Fletcher (West Ham), Robinson (Sunderland), Bellamy (Blackburn), Hartson (Celtic), Earnshaw (West Brom), G Williams (West Ham), R Edwards (Wolves), G Roberts (Tranmere), Margetson (Cardiff), Weston (Cardiff), D Collins (Sunderland).
