Star Trek star to stage one man version of 'Christmas Carol'
15/11/2005 - 16:44:41Actor Patrick Stewart is to appear in the West End in a one-man production of A Christmas Carol, it was announced today.
The star of X-Men and Star Trek is reviving the show which he last performed in 1993.
It will open at London's Albery Theatre on December 6 and run until December 31.
The 65-year-old actor will play every role in the production including Ebenezer Scrooge, Bob Cratchit and Tiny Tim.
The show won an Olivier Award for Best Entertainment the first time around.
Stewart started out with the Royal Shakespeare Company and has appeared in a string of West End and Broadway productions.
The Yorkshire-born star is currently filming X-Men 3.
