ISEQ off to positive start
14/11/2005 - 11:30:45The ISEQ index of Irish shares got the week off to a positive start, rising 42.05 points to 6785.84 by 11am this morning.
Contruction companies all recorded positive gains this morning. Abbey rose 30c to €9.40, McInerney rose 18c to €9.10, Kingspan rose 6c to €10.15 and CRH rose 2c to €22.02.
The financials enjoyed mixed fortunes today. Bank of Ireland rose 10c to €12.95 while AIB rose 2c to €17.69. Irish Life and Permanent fell 5c €15.55 and Anglo Irish Bank slipped 1c to €11.17.
Low-cost airline Ryanair rose 10c to €7.35.
