One man arrested in connection with attack in Kilkenny

A man is in custody following an assault in County Kilkenny last night in which another man was seriously injured.

The two men were involved in an incident in Urlingford in the early hours of the morning.

A man is in a serious condition in Beaumont Hospital in Dublin after he was attacked in the incident.

The attack happened on Main Street in Urlingford shortly after 1 am.

Initially the victim was taken to St. Lukes Hosptital in Kilkenny.
