Rugby: Thousands disappointed after fire in Landsdowne

12/11/2005 - 08:45:16
Seven and a half thousand ticket holders for today's Rugby International at Lansdowne Road will be turned away, following a fire which broke out on the North Terrace last night

The IRFU's decision to close the terrace followed consultation with the Gardaí and relevant authorities, and a full safety inspection is due to get underway at first light

Ticket holders for the North Terrace are being asked not to travel to the game

The north goal line area is not affected and ticket holders will gain access there, while plans to reimburse ticket holders will be announced later today.
