Derry hoping to go top

12/11/2005 - 09:50:44
Derry City can return to the top of the Premier Division tonight with a victory over St Patrick’s Athletic at the Brandywell.

Following Cork City’s draw with Shelbourne last night, the League title will definitely not be decided until the last day but Derry know that a victory tonight would mean they would only need a draw in the cliff hanger in Cork next week.

Derry are close to full strength with Gary Beckett and Kevin Deery both fit again though Barry Molloy is suspended for the rest of the season.

St Patrick’s Athletic meanwhile have no fresh injury problems and will field the same side that beat Shamrock Rovers last week as they look to make it three wins in a row for the first time this season.
