The Coastguard has recovered the body of the third man killed in a drowning tragedy near the Cliffs of Moher over the October bank holiday weekend.

The body was found at Tra Lathan in Co Clare yesterday evening, close to where the remains of the other two victims had already been recovered.

The three men were all inside a 4x4 vehicle that plunged over cliffs in the Doolin area and into the sea below in the early hours of Monday, October 31.

A post mortem is due to be carried out on the body of the third victim today, while DNA tests will also be conducted to formally establish his identity.
