As Christmas fast approaches why not splash out on The Polar Express (Warner, 21.95), a double disc feature-laden title that is sure to be a family favourite.

Based on Chris Van Allsburg’s best selling children’s books, Tom Hanks turns up in five roles, but what really makes this so unique is the use of special effects which brings emotion and movement that are truly human.

If you want extras then you need the double disc version, which comes with a game, a look at the technology behind the film, Hanks talking about his different roles, music video, a host of Easter Eggs (hidden video clips).
