Good start for ISEQ
10/11/2005 - 11:29:04The ISEQ index of Irish shares was in positive territory this morning, rising 15.89 points to 6742.09 by 11am.
The financial stocks enjoyed mixed fortunes. AIB and Bank of Ireland had strong showings. AIB rose 10c to €17.35, while Bank of Ireland rose 11c to €12.86. Anglo Irish Bank rose 1c to €11.35.
Irish Life and Permanent fell 8c to €15.35.
Construction companies also enjoyed mixed fortunes today. McInerney Holdings fell 5c to €8.80, CRH fell 3c to €8.65 and Kingspan fell 1c to €10.10. Grafton rose 3c to €8.65.
Drinks company C&C saw one of the day's biggest increases, rising 10c to €5.35.
