Gavin Whelan scored a dramatic 93rd minute winner as Drogheda leapfrogged Bohs into fourth place tonight.

They now remain on course for European qualification on two fronts.

Whelan’s cross in from the right beat Bohs keeper Matt Gregg and entered the net in off the far post.

Trailing to Damien Lynch's opener from a 40th minute penalty, Bohs stormed back into the match after interval and were in front inside 11 minutes.

John Paul Kelly finished off a fine move involved Fergal Harkin and Farrelly to level before Aidan O’Keeffe put Bohs ahead.

But Drogheda levelled on the hour mark when Whelan headed home Stephen Bradley’s free-kick for his first of the night.

Bohs finished with ten men when young Aidan Collins was sent off for a second booking.
