Gardaí: No evidence of vigilantes behind stabbing
08/11/2005 - 15:28:25The Garda Commissioner this afternoon denied reports that vigilantes were behind a stabbing in west Dublin.
Twenty-six-year-old John Cunningham died in hospital after being assaulted in Clondalkin last Friday.
Gardaí suspect the victim was attacked by a gang of around five men after he broke into a local premises.
However, Commissioner Noel Conroy said there was no evidence to back claims it was a vigilante attack.
