Little Britain a big favourite with British children

08/11/2005 - 15:39:33
Children in the UK have named 'Little Britain' their second favourite TV comedy in a Radio Times poll, despite the series being aimed at over-15s.

The magazine questioned 2,000 six to 16 year-olds, who named animated series 'The Simpsons' their favourite comedy.

'Little Britain' is released on video and DVD with a 15 rating due to "moderate language and comic sex references".

The forthcoming third series makes few concessions to a family audience, as gay character Daffyd begins a new career as a rent boy.

The Radio Times poll also found that children regarded presenting duo Ant and Dec as the funniest TV stars, with Peter Kay, Rowan Atkinson, Ali G and the 'Little Britain' duo also on their list.
