Govt to ratify UN convention on tobacco control today
07/11/2005 - 12:18:50The Government is set to ratify the World's Health Organisation's Framework Convention on Tobacco Control today.
Foreign Affairs Minister Dermot Ahern is expected to sign the document and forward it to the UN ahead of tomorrow's deadline.
The treaty is designed to reduce tobacco use across the globe.
