Con maintain unbeaten run

Cork Constitution 13 Buccaneers 6
Cork Constitution maintained their 100% start to the season as they bossed Buccaneers into submission, winning 13-6 in a poor quality game at Temple Hill.

Con’s fourth win of the season looked done and dusted at half-time as they lead 13-3, and so it proved as Buccs could only manage a penalty from league top scorer Tom Cregan in the second half.

Cregan dropped a 25th-minute goal to put Buccs in front but Con quickly snapped back.

Buccs failed to defend two grubber kick attacks from the home side late in the first half – it proved costly as both Andrew O’Brien and Conor Quaid broke through to score tries.

Quaid, who had kicked a 28th-minute penalty, missed both conversions.

Con held on in the second half, offering little in attack.

Yellow cards for both John Moloney in the first half and for man-of-the-match Denis Fogarty in the second tired the home side out.
