McCartney murder accused further remanded on bail

The man accused of murdering Robert McCartney in Belfast earlier this year has been further remanded on bail during a routine court appearance.

The 49-year-old man was granted bail in September and ordered not to make contact with the dead man's family.

That bail was extended today until December 2, when he is due back in court.

Mr McCartney, a 33-year-old father-of-two, was beaten and stabbed to death outside a pub in Belfast on January 29.

His sisters later mounted a high-profile campaign to bring his killers to justice.
