Bowie and Martin sought for new Extras
03/11/2005 - 14:12:40Rock heroes David Bowie and Chris Martin are being lined up for the second series of British comedian Ricky Gervais' TV show Extras.
The Office creator has already featured a string of Hollywood stars in cameo roles but he is desperate to get more musicians on board.
He says: "It's still early days. But we definitely want to do something with David and Chris. Although I'm certain he'll say no. But I can't say more than that, or somebody will steal our ideas.
"But I do get a buzz from hanging out with Bowie. He's my absolute hero."
Samuel L Jackson, Kate Winslet and Ben Stiller all appeared in the first series of the hit show.
