Hauliers seek tax rebate on fuel in next month’s budget

The Irish Road Haulage Association has called on the Government to introduce a tax rebate on fuel in next month's budget.

The association said it wanted a rebate of 12 cents per litre to offset the hardship caused by rising fuel costs over the past number of months.

The IRHA claims many haulage firms are close to collapse as a result of spiralling international oil prices.
