02/11/2005 - 07:54:13Nottingham passed a 7am precautionary inspection and today’s meeting will go ahead.
Clerk of the course Nick Patton had been concerned about a large amount of forecast rain overnight, but not enough fell to put the fixture in jeopardy.
Patton said: “Basically we had seven millimetres of rain overnight and the going is heavy.
“We passed the inspection and should have a dry day.”
