Up to 150 deaths feared as rail accident in India kills 34

As many as 150 people are feared dead after a train derailed in India.

A railway bridge across a stream collapsed, causing seven carriages to fall into the water.

The accident happened in the southern state of Andhra Pradesh after several days of heavy rain.

A spokesperson for sSouthcentral Railways told Reuters that as many as 150 people could have died but so far only 34 deaths have been confirmed.

There were 500 passengers on board at the time of the accident.
