FAI Cup final to be played in Lansdowne
28/10/2005 - 16:06:17The FAI Cup final between Cork City and Drogheda United will now take place at Lansdowne Road.
The final was originally planned for Lansdowne Road but moved to Tolka Park after the Ballsbridge venue could not be guaranteed.
However, following Cork and Drogheda's success at reaching the final and the anticipated big crowd, the FAI re-examined their decision looking into staging the final at Lansdowne Road or the RDS.
The decision was made today to go to Lansdowne Road was deemed suitable with the game to take place on Sunday December 4.
