Presidential guests nun-the-wiser over Mumba's disguise
28/10/2005 - 15:08:55Pop star Samantha Mumba had everyone fooled at a Presidential reception when she turned up disguised as a nun, it emerged today.
The 22-year-old singer posed as the nun at a party hosted by President Mary McAleese at Aras An Uachtarain for more than 150 Irish entertainers.
The stunt was part of a television show Mumba is filming.
TV presenter Hector O’hEochagain was among the celebrities fooled by her disguise at the star-studded party, which was also attended by Snow Patrol’s lead singer Gary Lightbody and comedian Jason Byrne.
A spokeswoman for the President confirmed that Mrs McAleese knew about the prank.
