Economic future depends on indigenous companies

The Chamber of Commerce of Ireland has said the government must invest more in home-grown businesses if it wants continued economic success.

The CCI made their pre-budget submission today and the group’s Chief Executive, John Dunne, said the Irish economy is existing on buoyancy in construction and domestic consumption at the moment.

But he warned that the period of foreign investment is over for good, and that the future of Ireland’s economic success exists on our ability to grow and develop world-class indigenous companies.
