British Ambassador Matthew Rycroft will today lead a delegation of high-ranking international and local officials who will visit a mass grave believed to contain the bodies of dozens of Srebrenica massacre victims found in north-eastern Bosnia, the British embassy said.

The delegation will also include the Bosnian Muslim member of the country’s presidential troika, Sulejman Tihic, a delegation of heads of EU missions led by Michael Portillo, and local forensic experts, the British embassy said in a statement released in Sarajevo.

The head of the forensic team, Murat Hurtic, said one of the 1995 massacre’s survivors helped find the grave, believed to contain “dozens of Srebrenica victims”, in Snagovo village, about 30 miles north of Srebrenica.
