Umaga won’t be punished for O’Driscoll attack
26/10/2005 - 17:51:11New video footage will not lead to Tana Umaga being punished for the controversial spear tackle on Brian O'Driscoll.
Amateur pictures that came to light recently clearly show the Lions skipper being taken out seconds into the first summer Test against New Zealand.
But the International Rugby Board said it was too late to take action.
Kiwis coach Graham Henry said he couldn’t believe it had resurfaced: “We’re disappointed this is continuing, I'm sure it’s not Brian O Driscoll’s making but here we are.” He said.
