Oil stocks help ISEQ increase

The ISEQ index of Irish shares finished the day's trading up 16.04 points to 6549.06.

Dragon Oil recorded some of the best increases of the day rising 18c to €2.25, an increase of almost 9%.

The financials included mixed fortunes with only AIB not recording losses.

Both Bank of Ireland and Irish Life and Permanent fell 9c to €12.81 and €14.21 respectively. Anglo Irish bank fell 3c to €11.07.

AIB however rose 17c to €17.12.

Food company Kerry Group recorded some of the day's heaviest losses, falling 15c to €17.70.

Ryanair fell 5c to €6.95.
