EU cash to boost sales of farm products
26/10/2005 - 13:50:52The European Union today allocated €13m to help boost the sales of EU farm products abroad.
“Improving the competitiveness of EU quality products on markets outside the EU is a major challenge,” EU Farm Commissioner Mariann Fischer Boel said in a statement.
She said the challenge would be met with EU funds for advertising and information campaigns across the United States, Canada, Japan, Russia, Ukraine and Switzerland.
The money aims to cover half of the planned advertising projects and includes farm products such as wine, milk, meat, flowers and juices.
