Parnaby back for Boro
25/10/2005 - 14:11:50Middlesbrough defender Stuart Parnaby has recovered from a groin injury and returns to the squad for tomorrow’s Carling Cup third round tie at Everton.
Parnaby missed Sunday’s 2-1 defeat at West Ham after picking up the injury in the UEFA Cup tie at Grasshoppers last week.
Ugo Ehiogu also returns after proving his fitness in a reserve team game at Manchester United last week and will take over in central defence from skipper Gareth Southgate who is sidelined for up to six weeks with a groin strain.
Provisional squad: Schwarzer, Jones, Parnaby, Bates, Pogatetz, Queudrue, Riggott, Ehiogu, Wheater, Mendieta, Morrison, Doriva, Boateng, Maccarone, Nemeth, Viduka, Hasselbaink, Yakubu.
