Newcastle appeal Parker’s yellow card
25/10/2005 - 11:13:38Newcastle have appealed to the FA after midfielder Scott Parker was booked in Sunday's win against Sunderland.
Referee Alan Wiley gave Parker a yellow card after a challenge on Andy Welsh, but replays suggest it was defender Stephen Carr who made the challenge.
Parker is one booking away from a ban, and the evidence will be reviewed by an appeal panel today.
