FAI to decide on alternate Cup Final venue within 48 hours
24/10/2005 - 18:09:53The Football Association of Ireland is due to make a decision 'within the next 48 hours' on where this years FAI Cup final's to be played.
The match was due to be played in Tolka Park on Sunday 4th of December, but fans of the two clubs playing, Cork City and Drogheda United, have protested the venue would not be large enough
Tolka Park has a maximum capacity of just 9,500, whereas, in previous years the final was held at Lansdowne Road. The RDS is also under consideration as a possible venue.
