Two men arrested after armed bank raid in Co Mayo
24/10/2005 - 18:27:57Two men in their 20s have been detained in County Mayo following a bank raid in the town of Belmullet earlier today.
Staff at a branch of the AIB were confronted by two men brandishing knives, who subsequently made off with an undisclosed sum of money in a silver Mercedes car.
The two suspects were arrested tonight and are being detained at Belmullet Garda station.
