Good day on ISEQ

The ISEQ index of Irish shares ended the days trading in bouyant form, finishing up 90.52 points to 6478.75.

Budget airline Ryanair shrugged off today's cancellation of Dublin to Brussels flights today and saw stock rise 12c to €6.84.

Brussels Charleroi Airport is closed all day today as workers protest against plans by the Belgian government to raise the age for early retirement.

The financials all saw increases, with AIB and Bank of Ireland both rising 26c to €16.85 and €12.61 respectively. Irish Life and Permanent rose 19c to €14.25 and Anglo Irish Bank rose 3c to €10.98.

Construction companies enjoyed mixed fortunes on today's stock exchange. CRH recorded one of the biggest increases of the day, jumping 27c to €20.64. McInerney Holdings however recorded one of the heaviest losses, falling 11c to €8.63.
