Cork Constitution maintained their unbeaten start to the season thanks to a 29-13 defeat of Dungannon at Temple Hill.

Whereas last week, Brian Walsh's inexperienced side had to rely on a late Neil Whitworth penalty to see off UL Bohs, today they were much more composed, running in four tries.

Long-time winger Cronan Healy and youngsters Andrew O'Brien and Conor Quaid all touched down as Con moved up to second in the table.

Fly half Quaid notched a second-minute drop goal to put them on their way and he scored a try just before the break to add to Healy's 22-minute effort.

Con led 15-13 at the break - Dungannon had taken an early lead when former Ireland Under-21 centre Glen Telford broke through for a 17th-minute try.

Gareth Steenson converted, adding a drop goal and penalty, but Dungannon were run out of contention in the second half.

Centre O'Brien (44) and Healy (66) bagged converted tries to pull Con clear.
