French mission for Alcazar
Alcazar will try to reverse Prix du Cadran form with Reefscape when the pair line up in the Group One Prix Royal-Oak at Longchamp on Sunday.
The Andre Fabre-trained Reefscape came out on top last time, beating Hughie Morrison’s charge and Ostankino, who dead-heated, by two lengths on Arc day.

Fabre also fields his Prix de Royallieu scorer Oiseau Rare, while Shamdala represents the Aga Khan having booked her place with success in the Prix Chaudenay on the eve of the Arc.
Joining Alcazar from Britain are Geoff Wragg’s Irish St Leger second The Whistling Teal (Davy Bonilla) and the James Eustace-trained Orcadian.
A total of 11 go to post for the one-mile-seven-and-a-half furlong feature which is due to be run on forecast soft ground.
