O'Leary names Munster panel

20/10/2005 - 23:15:02
Munster manager Joe O'Leary has named a 27-man panel for Sunday's Interprovincial hurling semi-final against Ulster (Casement Park, 2.30pm).

O'Leary, a Cork selector, has included seven of his All-Ireland county men, seven players from All-Ireland semi-finalists Clare, five from Tipperary, five from Waterford and three from Limerick.

The starting line-up will be finalised on Saturday with a number of injuries and scheduled county finals curtailing O'Leary and his co-selectors' options.

Despite only winning the Cork title last weekend with Newtownshandrum, Rebel twins Ben and Jerry O'Connor have made themselves available.

Their Cork team mate Diarmuid O'Sullivan misses out due to football commitments with Cloyne, while Tipp's Eoin Kelly (hand) and Clare ace Seanie McMahon (personal reasons) are also notable absentees for the Belfast trip.
