Lescott signs new Wolves deal
20/10/2005 - 10:46:58Wolves defender Joleon Lescott has signed a new two-and-a-half-year contract which will keep him at Molineux until summer 2008.
The 23-year-old centre-back had 18 months left to run on his previous deal but has now put pen to paper on new terms.
Wolves chief executive Jez Moxey said: “This is great news for the club because Joleon is one of our best players.
“Jo has been with the club since he was a schoolboy and I know how much he longs to play in the Premiership with Wolves.
“We’re delighted he’s committed his future to us,” Moxey told the club’s official website.
“And we hope we can help him fulfil his ambition of getting into the top flight by winning promotion.”
