'Viable' bombs found in North Belfast
19/10/2005 - 19:56:01Live bombs were discovered by police in North Belfast today.
The explosives, described as pipe bomb type devices, were found during a security operation at Glentilt Street close to Agnes Street in the city.
Military experts were called in after officers noticed a suspicious bag containing the devices.
They were later removed for forensic examination, but a police spokesman confirmed: “Both were viable and contained explosives.”
