Stringer still in contention for Munster team
18/10/2005 - 10:26:07Munster coach Declan Kidney has not ruled Peter Stringer out of their Heineken Cup joust with Sale Sharks on Friday night.
Stringer played a part in yesterday's training session and he has shown remarkable healing power to recover from damaged knee ligaments suffered on the training pitch two weeks ago.
The initial assessment predicted a three-to-four week lay-off. Now there is a chance he will come back 100% in time to win his 98th cap for Munster. He might be included in tomorrow's squad.
