Rovers officials to meet over Collins disquiet

18/10/2005 - 08:21:31
Shamrock Rovers manager Roddy Collins and club officials will meet today with rumours rife of a serious rift between the manager and the board.

Collins has angered club officials with his sniping in the media over the last number of months as the manager looks for greater funds from the financially prudent fans’ 400 Club that now runs the club.

On Friday, there were rumours that the club had sacked the manager, but these were unfounded.

However, rumours persist that Collins could be dismissed, with former Rovers player Tony Cousins the favourite to take over.
