Injured Hickie out of opening Heineken Cup games
18/10/2005 - 15:12:17Denis Hickie has been ruled out of Leinster’s opening Heineken Cup games against Bath and Glasgow, as well as Ireland’s autumn international series.
He suffered a dislocated right fibula following an accident in a routine training drill on Monday evening at Old Belvedere RFC.
He underwent surgery in St. Vincent's Hospital Dublin and is now recovering at home.
Meanwhile, Christian Warner suffered a knee ligament injury in Leinster’s 34-15 victory over the Cardiff Blues last weekend and will also miss the opening rounds of the Heineken Cup.
