First ever murder trial begins today in Cork
18/10/2005 - 09:11:49The first murder trial to be heard in Co Cork since the foundation of the State is to get underway at the Central Criminal Court today.
Frank Cunningham (aged 19) from Bride Valley View, Fairhill, Cork, is charged with the murder of father of one, Patrick Walsh (aged 27).
Mr Walsh’s body was found at his family home in Cork in the summer of 2004.
Mr Cunningham was subsequently charged with his murder on June 1, 2004.
