Stoute has perfect Alibi

Michael Stoute is set to have a runner in the Racing Post Trophy at Doncaster after supplementing Best Alibi for the final Group One event of the season in Britain.

Owner Maktoum Al Maktoum has stumped up the £17,500 (€25,500) fee to add the King’s Best colt to the field for Saturday’s mile feature after his win in a Leicester maiden last week.

The first three home in the Royal Lodge Stakes, John Gosden’s Leo, the Neville Callaghan-trained Kilworth and Kevin Ryan’s Palace Episode, could do battle again.

Newbury maiden winner Hazeymm and Mark Johnston’s unbeaten Winged Cupid complete the line-up.
