Gardaí name road crash victim
17/10/2005 - 14:11:24Gardaí have named the 42 year-old man who was killed after his motorbike hit a cow in Co Limerick early this morning.
The latest victim of a fatal accident on Irish roads was named as Dennis Murphy of Newbridge, Askeaton, Co Limerick.
The accident happened at around 1am yesterday morning on a section of road between Newcastlewest and Abbeyfeale in West Limerick. Mr Murphy died after the motorcycle he was riding hit a cow which had strayed onto a country road.
Gardaí have preserved the scene for technical examination and are investigating all the circumstances surrounding the accident.
The fatal accident marked the fifth death on Limerick roads in the past month.
