Three people die in road accidents overnight
Three people have been killed on the country’s roads over night.
A 15-year-old girl was struck by a car and killed as she walked along Ryland Road in Bunclody Co Wexford at approximately 3:15 a.m.
The driver of the car, a local man in his early 20's, was arrested near the scene and taken to Gorey Garda Station where he was later charged in relation to the crash.
Two men in their 20's were taken to Beaumount Hospital following a single vehicle crash at Skerries, Road Rush, Co Dublin at 12:45 a.m.
The passenger subsequently died and the driver remains in a serious condition.
Their car struck a wall, there was no other vehicle involved in the crash.
A 19-year-old man was killed when the car he was driving crashed at Drumbarragh, Kells, Co Meath shortly after 3 a.m.
The man was the only occupant of the car and there were no other vehicles involved.
His body was taken from the scene to Navan General Hospital where a post mortem will be carried out later.
