Half of all mail getting stuck in sorting office
15/10/2005 - 08:34:27Only half of all post mailed in Dublin leaves an An Post sorting office the same day.
The Communications Workers Union claims the proportion of national and international post which is being delayed regularly slips over 50%.
According to An Post the union was using misleading information in an attempt to damage the company.
The CWU is currently balloting staff on industrial action over its claim that An Post had failed to honour national pay agreements.
